Ninilchik has roots in both Russian and Denaina Athabaskan Indian tradition. Ninilchik River and Deep Creek River offer some of the finest fishing in Alaska. Good access to Cook Inlet for record halibut and salt-water salmon fishing. The beach combing, hiking, clam digging and wildlife viewing are second to none.
