Kenai Peninsula Accommodations - Lodging on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. |
|
Located
on Resurrection Bay, a year-round, ice-free harbor, Seward is on the east
coast of the Kenai Peninsula. The town is named for the Secretary of State
given credit for purchasing Alaska from Russia in 1867 for 2 cents an acre.
Kenai Fjords National Park Center, Chugach National Forest, Alaska
Vocational Technical Center, and the Alaska Sealife Center are all found in
Seward. The picturesque community has fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing,
flight seeing, and some of the most magnificent coastlines in Alaska. |
