Located at the confluence of the Kenai and Moose rivers, Sterling is a jump-off place to travel the Swanson River Canoe Trails.  This trail system is the best and longest west of the Mississippi, and offers a wide variety of paddles, portages, fishing, and camping adventures.  Fishing and floating the Kenai River is also available in Sterling.
